cruise idea

Post by nicholasa631 on Thu Sep 11, 2014 3:46 pm

Is anyone interested in a drive up to PA to the flight 91 memorial? I go each year around this time to pay respects to this that had died on the 11th.

Hmmmmmm. I know Bethel has her 100K mark coming up. She wants to cruise for that. I am not sure but maybe she will do this. I mean I haven't been to it before so its something I would like to see.

from gaithersburg area to the memorial and back is just shy of 300 miles and roughly 5 hours. I'm thinking of maybe leaving the area about 9-930am, head up spend some time up there before heading back and figuring where to get lunch

Eh, just plan it out, pass out the map. Someone will take over. We're jerks like that.

Not bad... Might want to throw in a few more twists & turns.... Unless everyone is ok with primarily being on the highway for a cruise like this.

For a first time, I figured keep it simple and direct, 300 miles or so is a lot of ground to cover for a day cruise
