Lets see those father's day Gifts!

Post by Dominican7 on Tue Jun 17, 2014 9:11 am

Here is what I got, thinking about getting them powder coated black.

Waiting for the Moroso Fuse Box Cover.  I also got a new shorty antenna.

Trying to get the Engine bay cleaned up.

Looks Sweet! Which package did you get? I have been running over this in my head for a while now.

JPC put the engine package together. Forged stroker crank, rods, and pistons, new McLeod clutch and 3.73 gears.

It's basically a Parnelli Jones/Saleen based 302 engine.

Let me know that numbers one you get them.  I just pulled the trigger on some SVE Drift Wheels and 13" Cobra front Brakes...

476rwhp with 7lbs boost. Not good enough, bought an overdrive crank pulley and a smaller s/c pulley. Looking for about 550 rwhp.

Well on 7 lbs that's not bad really. I'm at 11 lbs putting down 525 who but that's on stock block and internals and compression. That's not really good for the car lol. I have to figure something out before it blows.

Yeah, I was looking for over 500 rwhp.  The stroker and cams drop the boost down, so to build it back up we are overdriving the crank & s/c to make 11-12 lbs.

What JPC did for me was, they had a 4.6 block that was left by a customer.  They sent it out and had the assembly built, so my car downtime was minimal.  In the same time, I bought the clutch, pulleys, 3.73's, and heat exchanger.

Check this 5.0 out...

Thank you for the link and all the information. Just so I can get an idea and I don't want to be rude but could you give me an estimate on what the build cost you? Just have to make plans you know?

My forged short block, built by JPC's builder, was $5200...total build keeps moving but is over $10k because I kept adding things like a billet oil pump, metco pulleys, clutch and clutch upgrades.

Did you do all the work for removing your block or did they. I don't mind doing it just wondering

They did the work. You could always save a bunch of cash by just getting forged pistons and rods, the crank is strong enough to hold 525hp easy.

Yeah thought about that too. 525 is great but it's like you always want more. I guess I will have to talk with them and see what those price options are.
