not from 10 years ago it isn't, or for that matter last year at this time, you may see slight drops here and there but it is slowly trending up as I said. Smile

Whats next for the 5.0? Intake or tuner should wake it up. When i used the 93 race tune, i kept up with an 01 gt

Not going to add a CAI or Tune to the car until its passed 5 years or 60,000 miles and really doesn't need too much awakening when its already putting down 387 rwhp and 380 torque bone stock

Be careful with that Boss manifold. After putting one on following the CAI, the slight gain in HP was offset by a big dip in torque. The manifold is a high reving part. It wasn't until I added an offroad h-pipe and upgraded the stock gears to 3.73s that the curve was moved appropriately. Expensive upgrades just to break 400hp to the wheels...

Thanks John and I agree 100%! Mine came with 3.73's from the factory so I'm good there, I doubt I will ever get the boss intake because from my understanding is that all the gain is top end around 7,000 rpms. I think with. Good tune and cai I can match the performance of the Boss intake with less money.

I think that might be wishful thinking, but we'll see. I have a custom tune that pushes the boundaries (albeit safely) given the improved airflow. At the end of the day, it's track time that counts. Note today, at Cecil, JJ's 2011 6spd just ran 10.88 at 125 with Boss Mani, JLT CAI, alum driveshaft, Mcleod clutch, Barton shifter, 3.90 gears, full exhaust, LCAs and slicks, and of course his famous Woodbine Motorsports tunes. That's it. That's now the current record holder NA for a completely stock block throttlebody to oil pan! These cars are truly factory racers...
