Calling all Mechanics *and those who have the hookup*

Post by Bethelism on Tue Dec 06, 2011 8:54 am

Most of you know about my dramatics with my car over the last year. Well, as it turns out, I'm pretty much screwed for the time being, and will have to end up taking the guy to court to get the money back.

That being said, there is still some work that needs to be done, and I really don't have the cash to get it done. The frame needs to be straightened, the headlights need to be installed correctly, the hole in the pan needs to be repaired, etc. I'm holding off on dealing with the paint for now. Any chance that anyone can or knows anyone that would be willing to hook me up gratis or for super cheap? (A lifetime of baked goods could be arranged) The main this is the frame, cuz I think everything else will fall into place (quite literally) after that.

HEEEELLLLLLLP!

The frame thing is the kicker... While I know a few people in the autobody field... most all tables are going to have customers cars already on it... and... the setup of the vehicle on the table is all the cost... the actual straightening is just a few minutes.

Even one of my best friends charged me $100 12 years ago... and I took off all the body panels for him to straighten the frame...

my guess is that it will cost between 300 and 500 from one of the people I know.

Where is the frame bent? front or back?

Hind sight, there is only one person I take my body work to and that is Mark at IGS. he doesnt let anything leave his shop that isnt as meticulous as his own cars.

Frame is bent in the front. I would totally take off the panels myself if it would save me some change... But it's really hosing the whole car, so it needs to get done.
